All my apps still havent downloaded

I'm not sure if I reset my kindle or something but for some reason anytime I want to download an app at all it just won't. no matter how simple the app is, I cannot download any apps. But it did just that! All the previous apps that I had, all the years of saving my favorite links in folders inside of firefox is all gone. All my adobe apps, security apps etc. Please tell me there something I can do to recover all of this. I have tried system restore (recovery) and even that was turned off.
